Kim Alan "Carney" Pederson, age 26, of Madison, formerly of Monroe, died suddenly on Monday Dec. 23, 2002, at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Dan "Duke" Krone played in the backs for the UW in the mid-80s. Then when he was going to grad school, he started playing with the WRC. It was either '88 or '89 when he was killed in an avalanche in New Zealand, where he was working as part of his around the world tour before he resumed his education; his goal was to eventually become a professor.
We named the Shark Award after him because he just loved to play and it didn't matter when or where...he was a wild and crazy guy, as easily indicated by his wild red hair.

Joe Dickey died September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center in New York.
